Aircraft mechanic (A&P)

1. At least 18 years old

 

2. Knowing how to read, write, speak, and understand English Fluently

​

 

3. 18 months of experience with procedures, practices, materials, tools, machines, and used to equipment’s that are used in construction

 

4. Maintaining or changing an airframe (Structures that have wings, fuselage, and an undercarriage) or powerplant (Components that generate electricity or energy)

 

 

5. 30 months of experience in performing fixes on both airframe’s and powerplant’s (Something that produces thrust to propel and airplane, in simple terms an airplane engine)

 

6. Pass from a aviation maintenance technician school that is certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (To find the correct training facility, you can visit this official government website of the FAA: https://www.faa.gov/av-info/facility-dashboard)

 

 

7. Must be familiar with the Regulations of this document: (https://ecfr.io/Title-14/Part-65/Subpart-D)

8. Pass 3 total tests of knowledge to receive the certification. First you will take the General Knowledge then Airframe and/or Powerplant knowledge tests

9. Pass the knowledge (written), practical tests, and oral

 

10. Must pass knowledge tests 

​

11. After passing all required tests then you will be giving the oral and practical tests by a Designated Mechanic Examiner, using the reference testing standards
