4. Speak in a clear, concise, organized manner, and loudly to be heard in an emergency

5. Ability to read, speak, write, and understand the English language (Extra tip: If you know any other languages it may help you to receive the job)

6. Have good vision (Must be able to pass a Medical Examination)
​
7. Not overweight
​
8. Physically fit
​
9. Communicate effectively to able and deal with high-stress situations, such as, evacuating the aircraft, security threats, medical emergencies, delays, severe weather conditions, and heavy turbulence
​
10. Pass training and swimming examinations (Able to swim at least 50 meters for US airlines, and 25 for Air Canada)
​
11. Have a professional appearance such as taking care of your skin, and following uniform, hair, piercing guidelines, tattoos, and hair being natural color
​
12. Know how to operate electronic devices such as phones, tables, laptops, and so on.
​
13. Must have a valid United States or the country you want to work in passport with 18 months left till expiration (Must have a Canadian passport if applying to a Canadian airline)
​
14. Able to travel from the United States to other countries without restrictions
​
15. Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, stretch, and lift heavy objects like luggage to the overhead bins and the serving cart which can reach up to 250 pounds
​
16. Able to reach 76-inches (193.04 cm) – 80 inches (203.2) vertically, and 43.5 inch (110.49 cm) horizontally without shoes

17. Have the height of 5’2” (157.48 cm) – 6’0” (182.88 cm)
​
18. Hear types of sound at Range (Good Hearing) (Must be able to pass a Medical Examination)
​
19. Serving and/or sell food and beverages in a professional manner
​
20. Must be authorized to work in the United States or the country you want to work in
​
21. Pass a background check, and pass a drug test
​
22. Flexible work schedules, as you can work in weekends, weekdays, holidays, and so on
