













GROUND CREW
NORTH AMERICA

1. Highschool, as it will provide the needed subjects to know, such as, computer science and mathematics.

2. Physically fit, as you might be lifting heavy loads from luggage, and other resources for ground crew such as the tow bar, which sometimes can be connected and disconnected.

3. The minimum is a high school diploma or equivalent, but some recruiters prefer people to have some university, college, or vocational (A school that teaches you the required skills to do a specific job.) education.

4. Ceritfication, or Licensing
· Commercial Drivers license

Must be between the age of 18-20 years old, and 21 to drive across borders

Have proof of your identity

Proof of residenct, which shows that you live in the United States, and your specific State

Meet a medical examiner to meet standards for health (Do do this you can visit this link: https://www.indeed.com/q-medical-examiner-jobs.html which provides jobs to become a medical exmainer, but not only this it also provides a ton of medical examiners)

Have sufficient vision

There are 3 classifications, A, B, and C, this usually depends on what specific job you would want to do. To know which one is best for you, contact the State motor vehicle department. Furthermore, if you want to get certification A, B, or C you would have to get your own car because one would not be provided for you.

Research the requirements for your state to receive the Commercial’s Driver License

You can either apply via online or DMV. Differs from some states, some allow you online and some in-person

Bring necessary documents for proof of identity including proof of your social security number (This differs from state to state, but the general documents to proof your identity is birth certificate, passports, military ID, or temporary resident cards. Like said before, this differs from state-to-state so for the full list check the wbsite of your state’s DMV)

Submit medical forms (You will need to submit 2 required reports, which include the Medical Examination report form and Medical Examiner’s certificate form. Pass the CLP tests (This includes 2 exams, which are the vision test, and knowledge test. The vision test will see if you are up to the federal standards for eyesight and the knowledge test differs from state-to-state but it has 50 multiple choice questions and tests you about your fimilarity with laws, practices, and policies that are associated with the driving of commerical vehicles) (You need to wait for 14 days after receiving your CLP before taking the CDL road skills)

Pass the vehicle and road test (You have to under go a vehicle inspection where your vehicle would be checked if it is up to standards, once it is, you will be asked to navigate through a driving course that would test your knowledege of traffic laws and driving practices. If you pass this test you will receive your Commerical’s driver license

Pay a final fee for all the tests taken and documents submitted, then once done you will be able to either print your certification on site, or mailed to home. Ofcourse this expires, but the date varies from state to state

· Food service workers

As food service workers, you are required by law to be checked periodically to see if you have a communicable disease and skin infections. These tests are provided by the Board of Health
· Fuelers of Aircraft

Must abide by the rules and regulations that are set by the Federal Aviation Administration. These requirements are met through employer-based certification

5. Must be between the age of 18 to 21, and need to have a valid driver’s licenses as you might be driving vehicles and ground equipment
